Treehugger Taxi, LLC is family business owned by West Hartford
residents David and Kat Becker-St.Germain. We are pleased to be
providing a new, green transportation alternative in the West Hartford
central shopping district and throughout town. When we first heard that
Blue Back Square was going to be built, we realized that pedicabs would
be a great link between the two shopping areas in downtown West
Hartford.
It is our hope that pedicabs will reduce car traffic in the center by
encouraging use of the center's parking garages by providing
transportation to and from them. Pedicabs are a wonderful form of
green "transportainment" and we hope our efforts encourage other
less-polluting forms of transportation throughout the town.
Dave is a library media specialist, baker, computer teacher and in the
summer, a children's cooking teacher at Summerplace. This summer he
will also be a pedicab driver. Kat is a social worker, video historian,
summer camp director and pianist. They have two wonderful children, a
dog and one fish.
